The SAVE issue, possibly ON HOLD


So...

It turns out that adding a decent save function to this game is going to be... difficult, I'm new to HTML writing and trying to find a solution beyond what I've already got is giving me a headache

However, using the Sugarcube format instead of Harlowe means that the game would have a built in save/load function

But converting to Sugarcube means relearning everything and rewriting everything

This leaves me with two options for this game, either I put it on hold until I've learned Sugarcube and I can fix it up...

Or I scrap it and make something completely new


Either way, I'm going to need time to learn Sugarcube so don't expect any updates anytime soon, by the time I've learned it I'll have probably gotten distracted and invested in a different project anyway.

Long story short, consider this project DEAD until further notice.

From what I saw save to disk or whatever is what I prefer, works fine without trying to figure out how the browser saves thiss tuff again.

can't you find some sugarcube devs on here to help you with those issues ? with the recent preggo game jam i think there's a decent chunk of breeding/pregnancy centered indie devs that can be contacted.

Not a bad idea but the changes I have to make don't seem too difficult, just time consuming

I would've loved to have seen this turned into a visual novel or rpg

buuut, thas probably never gonna happen

A nice idea, but unless I win the lottery some time soon, I'd never have the time for more than simple text adventures

On the plus side, the Sugarcube conversion is going well so far, work may continue sooner than I thought!
